Broadview Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical has provided comfort to Northeastern Ohio since 1960, when the company then known as Broadview Heating & Supply was purchased by Carl Olecki. Currently the fourth generation of the Olecki family is running the business continuing to focus on the same values, work ethic and commitment to client satisfaction.

What makes Broadview Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical unique is that we are a family business who treats our team members and clients like they are all a part of our extended family. We believe in open communication with our clients and welcome you to call the office with any questions or concerns.

At Broadview Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical the biggest reward is going into a home and changing the situation of someone who is uncomfortable and stressed. We feel like a success, when by the end of our visit the same individual is now comfortable and relaxed in their home.

History

Carl Olecki received an opportunity to purchase a local business in 1960. His decision to become an entrepreneur resulted in the creation of the longest operating family business in Broadview Heights. He also created a family legacy of providing comfort in homes across Northeastern Ohio.

As a decorated World War II veteran who stormed the beaches of Normandy, Carl Olecki returned home after the war to Northeastern Ohio and married Arline. They settled in Broadview Heights, Ohio to raise a family.

Around the same time Carl and Arline moved to Broadview Heights, a new business, Broadview Heating and Supply, opened its doors in July of 1947. In Spring of 1948 the business moved from a home on Richard Road into a commercial building located on the corner of Sprague and Broadview Roads. The owner decided to sell in 1960 and Carl, who was working for a heating company, purchased the business which happened to be down the street from his home.  Broadview Heating & Supply had one employee, Frank, who continued working for Carl until his retirement in the early 1990s.

During the early years of owning Broadview Heating and Supply, Carl and his employee Frank worked many long days providing repairs and new heating systems to residents of Broadview Heights and the surrounding communities. Carl’s father Joe, a retired small business owner, also worked for Broadview Heating and Supply. He made sheet metal, answered the phone and wrote work orders for Carl and Frank. Carl’s wife Arline was the bookkeeper, who worked at night after putting their children to bed.

In the Summer of 1973, Broadview Heating and Supply outgrew the current location and moved into a building on the corner of Wallings and Broadview Roads. With the new space came a few new employees and one Summer helper, Tom Olecki, who would eventually learn the HVAC trade joining his father and brother in the business. Tom was excited to learn from his father and Frank everything there was to know about heating and cooling.

As the business continued to grow, Broadview Heating as it was now known, built a facility on the corner of Royalton and Broadview Roads in 1985 to accommodate a warehouse, metal shop and office space. A few new faces became a part of the Broadview Heating team including technicians, a full-time receptionist and Tom’s wife, Lori, who now did the bookkeeping at home while raising a family.

The business continued to grow but hit a new level in 1999 when Broadview Heating became a part of The Rheem Team, rebranded to Pro-Partner in the mid-2010s. Being a part of this program is special because businesses are recognized for their exceptional level of both customer service and craftsmanship.

Tom’s oldest sons Kevin and Mark became involved in the business and worked alongside their father, continuing to grow the team. Once again, Broadview Heating outgrew their building in 2011 and relocated to a larger facility at 4111 E. Royalton Road in Broadview Heights. The Olecki family worked together and renovated the building to include additional spaces for a showroom and vehicle bays. Carl was able to see the new building and growing business, with a service area encompassing all of Northeastern Ohio before passing away the same year.

Carl’s legacy continues to live on with his love of service being instilled in Tom, Lori and all four of their children who are currently working in the business. The Olecki family believes in treating their customers like family and providing solutions that make you comfortable.

Broadview Heating staff is certified by the National Comfort Institute to perform airflow diagnostics and air balancing and testing. Air balancing has, up to now, been reserved for high-rise or commercial buildings. But today’s technology has produced instruments that allow us to use this testing for smaller heating and cooling systems. We can now accurately measure your heating or air conditioning system’s static pressure. It’s like testing your blood pressure. It’s invisible, but if it’s too high it causes symptoms that aren’t good.

These symptoms include:

  • Hot or Cold Rooms
  • High Utility Bills
  • Reduced Equipment Life
  • Excessive Dust
  • High Humidity
  • Noise

You may have had these symptoms for years and have learned to live with them. On the other hand, these symptoms may be a constant source of irritation and cost, but you may not have known they can be taken care of. Broadview Heating now has the ability to diagnose and correct these problems and increase the comfort, cleanliness, quietness and efficiency of your air conditioning and heating system. We now offer complete certified testing and diagnostic services that can pinpoint the problems usually with less than one hour of testing. The tests are quiet and clean. Many people find it informative, even educational, and it will probably uncover problems you’ve suspected for some time. We will give you an easy to read report and help you understand it so you can make an informed decision.

Call us today to discuss an air balancing test for your home (or office). And be sure to ask us if we have any air balancing/testing discount certificates available.
